Joint Mobilisation
‘Gentle manoeuvre that alleviates restricted joint movement’

Joint flexibility is essential to the health and well-being of a joint. Mobilisation technique is gentle passive movements applied on a stiff joint performed by a practitioner in an attempt to restore normal range of motion of a joint. It has benefits of relieving pain and muscle spasms, releasing tension, and improving flexibility in a joint.

Mobilisation technique may also help to break a joint adhesion which is scar-like tissue formed between joint surfaces when a joint was intensely stiff for a long period which caused them to stick together, restricting the joint movement even further.
